    Ms. Susan Jackson was elected as a Member of Parliament during the December 2012 general election, representing Constituency 20, Pembroke South West. Ms. Jackson is a fourth generation Jackson to commit to public service. Her father was the late Senator Albert Jackson, an Independent Senator who served as Senate President for 12 years. Her mother is Louise Jackson, former Member of Parliament and longtime Shadow Minister for Health and Seniors. Her great grandfather was the second black Bermudian elected to the House of Assembly, in 1887. 

    Mrs. Jackson is a corporate communications specialists having 20 years experience writing for electric, telecommunication and financial institutions; she has worked at Belco, BTC, and most recently HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited. She also worked in the Department of Education for seven years as a Speech Language Pathologist. She has been educated in Bermuda, England and the United States. Attaining a BSc. in Speech from Emerson College in Boston and professional designations for Communication, Advertising and Marketing (CAM) and Education Foundation in London.

    Mrs. Jackson has commiteed herself to serving her community by volunteering to various social support organisations including Mirrors, YouthNet, PRIDE and Women's Resource Centre.
