Elections held under the Constitution of 1968
The election of 1968, which was the first to be conducted within the parameters of universal adult suffrage and the first to be contested by multiple political parties, resulted in a victory for the United Bermuda Party, which captured thirty seats, with the Progressive Labour Party winning the remaining ten. The Bermuda Democratic Party, formed shortly before the election was held, but failed to win any seats and disbanded soon afterwards. There have been eleven other elections since 1968, with the results: -
