Deputy Clerk & Clerk to the Senate
Mrs. Kara Beale
Mrs. Kara Beale holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Hull and a Master’s degree from Roehampton University in Human Rights and International Relations.
Mrs. Beale joined the House of Assembly in 2020 as Assistant Clerk to the Legislature before becoming the Deputy Clerk/Clerk to the Senate in 2024. She also works as a clerk for several parliamentary committees. Prior to joining the Legislature, Mrs. Beale had an extensive work history working in the not-for-profit sector working for charities such as Bermuda Overseas Missions and the SPCA. In 2024, Kara received a Professional Development Certificate in Parliamentary Management from McGill University, School of Continuing Studies.
Mrs. Beale has participated in numerous Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conferences and seminars in Bermuda, the Caribbean Region and elsewhere overseas, including international Parliamentary Clerks conferences in the United Kingdom and partook in a Clerk Attachment to the Public Accounts Committee in Jersey, Channel Islands.
