Attorney-General Wilkerson is a Barrister and Attorney, admitted to the Bermuda Bar and the Bar of England and Wales (Gray’s Inn). She holds professional designation as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Attorney-General Wilkerson has been a national industry leader, specializing principally in insurance/reinsurance, over thirty-five (35) years’ service to Bermuda-based multi-national corporations, in roles such as Senior Vice President, Head of Claims and General Counsel. Her professional experience spans jurisdictions outside Bermuda, including the City of London where she provided legal services for Lloyds of London syndicates. Attorney-General Wilkerson’s global prominence is acknowledged by her contributing authorship in “The Law of Reinsurance in England & Wales” (2nd & 3rd Editions). Attorney-General Wilkerson’s past corporate board appointments include Chair of the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority; non-Executive Director of Argus Insurance Group Holdings; and Director of One Communications Ltd.

She has a life-long support for charitable and public interest causes centering on empowering women and children. Significant work includes serving as a Director of the Business Insurance Women to Watch Foundation (International); Chair of Shift (formerly Parents Resource Institute for Drug Education “PRIDE”), which provides prevention based social emotional learning programs for Bermuda’s school children; Member of Bermuda Board of Education and Law Reform Commissioner. The Attorney-General is a proud Bermudian; she is a graduate of Paget Primary School, Berkeley Institute and Bermuda College. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (concentrating in Property & Casualty Insurance) from The College of Insurance/St. John’s University School of Risk Management in New York, USA; a Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Buckingham, UK; and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, London, UK.
